2018 Commercial Awareness Week

2018 Commercial Awareness Week

The government spends around £44 billion each year and delivering value for money for the taxpayer is paramount. Sir Jeremy Heywood, Head of the Civil Service, has made it clear he is determined to improve the way commercial arrangements are handled.

Given the vast amount of staff involved in managing contracts and supplier relationships across the Civil Service there is inevitably a wide range of Procurement skills and levels of commercial awareness.

The 7th to the 11th May 2018 is Commercial Awareness Week with lots of information, events and training to support in ensuring staff are proficient in negotiation and the management of supplier contracts.

At JDP we not only directly support many public-sector clients with procurement project delivery but we offer Training and Commercial Mentoring to support in understanding key commercial principles and practices.
